Supreme Council ratifies incentive programme for electric cars in Dubai at 45th meeting

Dubai, UAE – HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, ratified the incentive programme to promote the use of electric cars in Dubai, which was presented by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Dubai Municipality at the the 45th meeting of the Supreme Council of Energy. This programme supports the Dubai Green Mobility Initiative to increase the uptake of hybrid and electric cars in Dubai.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council, was present at the meeting. Other attendees included HE Ahmed Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council, Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of the Emirates National Oil Company Ltd (ENOC), Abdullah Abdul Kareem, Director General of the Department of Oil Affairs, Khalid Mohammed Sharif, Assistant Director General for the Health, Safety and Environment Control division at Dubai Municipality, Waleed Salman, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Nuclear Energy Committee, Nasser Abu Shehab, CEO of the Strategy & Corporate Governance Sector at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), Frederick Chemin, General Manager of Dubai Petroleum, and Simon Cattle, General Manager of Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP).
