King Salman names new Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud announced that the Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef replaced Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz as the Crown Prince, appointing him as Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior and President of the Council of Political and Security Affairs, according to the royal orders issued today.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) King Salman, also in a royal order, selected Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as Deputy Crown Prince and appointed him as Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and President of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has also relieved Prince Saud Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and appointed Adel Bin Ahmed Al Jubeir to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs.

King Salman in a royal order also appointed Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Faleh to the post of Minister of Health and relieved Dr Mohammed Bin Suleiman Al Jasser, the Minister of Economy and Planning, of his post.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has appointed Dr Mohammed Bin Suleiman Al Jasser to the post of Adviser at the Royal Court with the rank of Minister and relieved Adel Bin Mohammed Faqih, the Minister of Labour, of his post.
