Saudi billionaire Al-Waleed bin Talal aims to give $32 billion fortune to charity, rather than leave everything to his children. “Philanthropy is a personal responsibility, which I embarked upon more than three decades ago and is an intrinsic part of my Islamic faith”, he stated.
“Money will go to programmes promoting health, eradicating disease, modernisation, intercultural understanding and empowering women”, The Guardian reported.
Such philanthropic gesture reminds that one of Bill Gates, who pledges $58 billion fortune to charity and who also considers that the offspring should take care of themselves.
Although there is no coincidence between the two wealthy men’s passion to donate, as Prince Al-Walled states that he has been motivated by Bill Gates special foundation.
